Welcome to ICEC! We are a non-profit, pediatric therapy clinic that has been serving families in Orange County, California for 40 years. Our team of skilled therapists are passionate about providing evidence-based services through play and fun. We provide a variety of services for children ages birth to five to help them reach their cognitive, communication, motor and feeding goals.
ICEC was founded in 1983 by a group of individuals who wanted more for their children. From that original grassroots organization, we have grown into a thriving non-profit serving children and families across Orange County. While our logo and facilities have changed, our mission remains the same; to provide the best services rooted in care.
In 1983, ICEC was incorporated by MaryAnn Ford, a parent who recognized the need for early start services in Orange County. Even before the federal IDEA implementation, MaryAnn saw the importance of providing support to children with disabilities. ICEC was born out of her dedication to making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.
Outgrowing its initial facility, ICEC moved to its own location in Santa Ana in 1996. This relocation allowed for expanded services and a larger space to accommodate the growing number of families seeking early intervention services. The new facility provided a nurturing and supportive environment to further enhance the care provided by ICEC.
In response to the needs of families in south Orange County, ICEC opened a satellite office in Irvine in 2000. This expansion brought services closer to the community, ensuring convenient access to high-quality therapy and support.
In 2016, ICEC brought together its clinics into the current location, consolidating its operations. This strategic move allowed for improved coordination and collaboration among the ICEC team, enhancing the delivery of comprehensive therapy services.
Since 1983, ICEC has maintained a strong partnership with the Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC), offering essential early start services. Today, ICEC has expanded its reach, partnering with multiple Regional Centers in the area in addition to accepting most PPO insurances, Kaiser, and private pay; ensuring that more families have access to the specialized care and support they need. With a dedicated team of 48 staff members, including long-standing employees.
Our team of therapists have a wealth of experience, as well as expertise across many areas. Each therapist provides the warmth needed to keep your child engaged while also applying evidence-based treatment methods that will push their skills to new heights. Our therapy team collaborates between disciplines to ensure your child's success across all areas.
At ICEC we support the entire family, not just an individual. Your child isn't the only one who benefits from a strong support system and we are here to help. We provide opportunities for your family to learn and grow together so you can all thrive.
We provide services beyond individual therapy to create a well-rounded support system. At ICEC you can attend parent trainings and discussion groups to learn build community and learn. We also provide sibling care options and monthly Parents Night Out programs for when you need time on your own.
At ICEC we offer a variety of therapy options. Our team of skilled therapists take the time to assess each child and carefully discuss their needs to determine the best course of action to reach their goals. As your child progresses with new skills, their services can adapt to help them achieve even more.
No one accomplishes anything alone, and at ICEC we are extremely grateful to our volunteers and donors who help us reach our goals.
