Our team of occupational therapists utilize child-led therapy to create a motivating and impactful session. While this may look like they are "just playing", our therapists are using play to regulate your child's body in order to participate in new or challenging activities. These activities include exploring new foods, trying new sensory experiences, and engaging in table top activities.
In occupational therapy your child can learn the skills they need to navigate various components of their day. This includes feeding, dressing, writing, cutting, as well as emotional regulation and sensory integration. Occupational therapy can help children learn to manage big feelings and tolerate the different sensory input they experience throughout the day (E.g., wearing novel clothing, brushing teeth, hair washing).
